Wording Your Wedding Invitations

Saturday, January 28th, 2012

As a bride, you must be aware of the many traditions about the text and wordings of wedding invitations and you don’t have to follow them to the letter. You can create your own personal ideas but feel free to squeeze in some traditional style to balance a traditional and contemporary tone. If you are planning a small and simple wedding, a letter-style invitation may be more suitable stating the basic information such as the hosts, event, date, location and time.

If you are considering a more formal wedding, traditional formal wordings may be appropriate in your wedding invitations. Formal wordings are generally written in the third-person language and if you are planning for a church wedding, the invitation line should read as “Request the honor of your presence.” If it’s going to be held in another venue other than worship place, it should read as “Request the pleasure of your company.” If you are still unsure of how to start with your invites, familiarize yourself with the different wording styles, whether traditional or modern.

I Need to Rent Heaters

Monday, January 23rd, 2012

CLEAR coverage Map for the San Antonio, Texas areaI need to rent heaters for my patio in san antonio texas. We are hosting a party in a couple of weeks at our house and while it is pretty big, I know that it will feel cramped and people will want to go out on the patio. With how unpredictable the weather has been, I don’t want to take any chances that it could be chilly out there. Instead, I would rather rent a couple of heaters so any guests who do want to go outside can stay warm. Even if no one wants to go out for conversation, the smokers will have to go outside since I don’t allow smoking in my house. I may not want them to smoke, but I don’t want them to freeze either! I found a company that rents them. After looking at the pictures on their site, I knew they were the ones that I wanted to get.

It is Fun to Write Best Man Speeches

Sunday, January 15th, 2012

Best man speeches are absolutely a hoot to write, and though they may seem silly, are a very important part of the wedding ritual. It can be hard to start writing a really great best man speech, but after you get rolling, it can be quite special and fun. In film and movies you often see the best man standing half-cocked at the head table with his tie untied, and his shirt unbuttoned, blabbering about some arbitrary ex girlfriend experience that has left him scarred for life. It is unfavorable to be that guy, so don’t get too drunk before your speech (making it even harder to deliver) and put some time into writing something that will touch the hearts of the happy couple, the wedding party, and the guests so you don’t look like a macho jerk. A tiny bit of comedy will go a long way, and a good lot of sentimentality is encouraged.
